Rev. Fr. Mathew Thomas
Parish Vicar
Rev. Fr. Mathew Thomas has been serving as the Vicar of our parish since July 2018. Born in Kodumon, Pathanamthitta, Kerala, he is the son of Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Mariamma and has an elder sister, Liby Thomas. He is married to Mrs. Lenitha Thampi, and they are blessed with three children – Juan, Jewel, and Josiah.

Fr. Mathew holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta, and studied Journalism and Mass Communication at Madras Christian College. He completed his Bachelor of Divinity (BD) and Graduate Diploma in Sacred Theology (GST) at the Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam, Kerala, India, and also holds a Diploma in Post Production for Film and Television from Humber College, Toronto.

He was ordained as a Subdeacon in May 2008 and to the Holy Priesthood in August 2009 by the hands of H.G. Kuriakose Mar Clemis Metropolitan. Rev. Mathew Thomas has served as Vicar in various parishes of the Thumpamon Diocese, including St. Mary’s Cathedral, Thumpamon, before moving to Canada, where he continues to lead our parish in faith, worship, and community life. He currently hold the position of the Vice President of MMVS, Canada Diocese
Our Former Vicar
Late Rev. Fr. Dr. Daniel Thomas
Rev. Fr. Dr. Daniel Thomas is the son of the late Mr. M. M. Daniel and Annamma Daniel of Munjanattu, Kozhencherry, Kerala, India. He was ordained as Kassiso at St. Mathews’ Orthodox Church, Kozhencherry, Kerala by His Holiness Moran Mar Baseliose Marthoma Mathews II, the Catholicose on July 29th, 1995.

Rev. Fr. Dr. Thomas served as Assistant professor of Philosophy and religious Studies at Mount Allison University, Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada. He served as Vicar of various Northeast American Diocese churches in USA & Canada including St. Mary's Malankara Orthodox Church, Ajax from 2012 to 2018. He lived his life in Ottawa, Canada and entered the heavenly abode on 11th October 2024.
